Materials for analytical devices conference organized by WISE researcher
-This conference is of special interest for WISE researchers that work with developing sustainable materials and materials for environmental remediation because the detection and characterisation of hazardous chemicals will be of focus here, explains Anneli Kruve, Associate Professor at Stockholm University and WISE researcher.
Anneli Kruve, Associate Professor at Stockholm University and WISE researcher is one of the organizers of the “Analytical Techniques for Material Development and Materials for Analytical Devices” conference. The event will be held at Stockholm University on 12-13 June 2024.
One of the highlights of the conference will be the presentation by invited speaker and Assistant Professor Selina Tisler from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Prof. Tisler will delve into the intricacies of utilizing recycled plastic bottles, shedding light on both their benefits and drawbacks. Specifically, she will explore the great number of unknown components that remain in plastic bottles post-recycling and their potential presence in the water we consume from these containers.
-This event is about discussing and expanding the collaborations between analytical chemistry and material science. There is a lot of learning possible in both directions”, says Anneli Kruve, WISE researcher.
The organizing committee comprises members from Stockholm University, Gothenburg University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Uppsala University, Örebro University, Chalmers, Malmö University and Lund University.
-This conference is of special interest for WISE researchers that work with developing sustainable materials and materials for environmental remediation because the detection and characterisation of hazardous chemicals will be of focus here, explains Anneli.
Abstract submission is open until the 31 March 2024.
