We are happy to introduce Lars Jerpdal, one of our great speakers at WISE Welcome Meeting, taking place in Norrköping on August 26 -27.
Lars will speak in the role of project manager for WIRA-SuPRA, one of the industrial arenas within WISE. He is also a technical manager at Scania.
The project management role includes leading the work with the industrial arena for plastics, WIRA-SuPRA (Sustainable Polymer Research Arena), which Scania has together with the companies Husqvarna and Thule group and in collaboration with the Polymer Technology Institute in Värnamo.
What is your talk about at Welcome Meeting?
At Welcome Meeting 2024, I will talk about WIRA-SuPRA, what it is and what opportunities doctoral students and postdocs will have in WIRA-SuPRA. I will also talk about courses and study visits that we will arrange.
Could you give a word of encouragement to the new WISE PhD students and postdocs?
The research that WISE PhD students and postdocs will carry out is very important for the green transition of industry. Through WIRA-SuPRA, the industry’s needs will be conveyed to inspire the researchers to conduct research that is relevant to the industry and thus increase the possibilities that the research results can be implemented and thereby contribute to the green transition.
