That’s a wrap on Welcome Meeting 2026 – what an amazing event! The Welcome Meeting was a great success, bringing together around 90 participants for an inspiring and engaging day.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for participants to get to know each other, exchange ideas and learn more about the activities, people and opportunities within our organisation. With a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking, the day was filled with energy and enthusiasm.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making the Welcome Meeting 2026 such a memorable event. We look forward to continuing the conversations and collaborations that started during the meeting.
We also had the pleasure of speaking with some of you who shared your reflections on the Welcome Meeting 2026.
-I enjoyed meeting both new and familiar faces, hearing directly from those involved in funding and organizing the network, and learning about the work being done across the different material sectors. I must admit that I did not understand everything, but the meeting left me hopeful that we might actually see a truly sustainable society within our lifetime, says Reinol Josef Compañero, Postdoctoral Researcher at Luleå University of Technology.
