WISE is opening a second industrial project call in 2024. Up to 16 projects will be financed by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, with project start in mid-2025.
-We are looking forward receiving high-quality joint applications from industry and academia. Through collaborations with industry and society, WISE will promote and activate a transition towards a sustainable society and at the same time advance the scientific frontier in materials science, says Magnus Berggren, Director of WISE.
Call details
The (draft) call text is available at the link below. Through the first half of 2024, WISE will provide informational webinars about the call and potential applicants can gather information and formulate project ideas. The call will open for application in August 2024 and close in November 2024. Grant decisions are expected in April 2025.
This call is open for partnerships between academic and industrial researchers, where each proposal must include a main academic PI as well as a main industry PI.
The academic PI (with qualification to be main supervisor according to the respective university) must be affiliated at one of WISE’s six partner universities (Chalmers University of Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Uppsala University, Stockholm University, and Lund University), at Luleå University of Technology, or be a pre-selected researcher at Karlstad University, Umeå University, or Örebro University.
