The first call for WISE Industrial PhD student and postdoc positions opens 1 April.
WISE (The Wallenberg Initiative Materials Science for Sustainability) is the largest ever investment in materials science in Sweden and will include major investments at the leading universities in Sweden over 10 years. The vision is a sustainable future through materials science.
Through collaborations with industry and society, WISE will promote and activate a transition towards a sustainable society and at the same time advance the scientific frontier in materials science, which strongly establishes Sweden as a leading nation in the field.
Call for projects
WISE offers funding for up to 12 industrial Doctoral student positions and 12 Postdoc positions. Swedish industry and academy apply together for a PhD student or a postdoc. The eligible universities are Chalmers University of Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Luleå University of Technology, Lund University, Stockholm University and Uppsala University and affiliated groups of excellence at Karlstad University, Umeå University, and Örebro University.
