The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has elected two new Swedish members to the Class for humanities and for outstanding services to science, Marika Hedin and Sara Mazur.
Sara Mazur is the former chair of the WISE board and is now Executive Director of Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. She is also a member of the new research committee that advises the government ahead of the research bill, which is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024. She is also a member of the government’s AI commission.
-I am deeply honored to be recognized for my contributions to science by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Advancing research and innovation is crucial for shaping our future, and I look forward to continuing this work in collaboration with brilliant minds in Sweden and beyond, says Sara Mazur, Executive Director of the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, former WISE board chair.

A successful WISE Dialogue 2025 just wrapped up, bringing together approximately 300 participants from diverse sectors, including leading industry professionals, academic experts, WISE PhD students and Postdocs, as well as representatives from the public sector.
