We are pleased to announce that WISE Networking Day 2026 will take place on November 23–24, 2026.
WISE Networking Day is designed to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry within the WISE Community. With a dynamic mix of activities, the event offers a unique opportunity to build connections, exchange knowledge, and foster long-term partnerships.
This year’s event is organized in collaboration with NÄST Innovation Destination Torslanda, a vibrant innovation hub located at Torslandaverken in Göteborg. The venue provides an inspiring environment where research, innovation, and industry come together.

Registration will open in late August 2026, and a personal invitation will be sent via email to all members of the WISE Community.
Industry and societal partners are warmly invited to participate as attendees or exhibitors. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to present their organization through a roll-up or demo table.

In the spring sunshine, the Uppsala node of Wise-EST was officially inaugurated at Uppsala University by Vice Rector Charlotte Platzer Björkman and WISE co-director Olle Eriksson, marking the launch of a new research infrastructure for tribology.

An international team of researchers has developed a high-performance, biodegradable membrane made from jute agricultural waste to filter oily water. The material is produced using a simple and scalable process and it can be removed using ultrasound and easily re-casted, restoring its performance again and again. Even after repeated use, the membrane maintains over 99% separation efficiency.
