Now Open: KAW Proof of Concept Grants in Materials Science for Sustainability
The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation is delighted to announce the 2025 call for Proof of Concept Grants in Materials Science for Sustainability, is now open for applications until October 15, 2025, at 13:00.
These grants offer researchers a unique opportunity to transform early-stage discoveries into real-world solutions. By bridging the gap between academic research and innovation, the program supports the development of validated methods, products, or processes with strong commercial and societal potential.
Each project may receive 1–4 million SEK in funding over a period of up to two years, enabling researchers to take their ideas to the next level.
As part of the Wallenberg Launch Pad (WALP) initiative, the Proof of Concept Grants are designed to accelerate impactful innovations that can contribute to a more sustainable future.
