Do not miss out as the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation soon is set to open applications for its 2025 Proof of Concept Grants in Materials Science for Sustainability. The call opens on September 1 and closes on October 15, 2025, at 13:00.

These grants aim to bridge the gap between academic research and innovation, helping researchers advance early-stage discoveries into validated methods, products, or processes with commercial potential. Funding of 1–4 million SEK is available per project, over a maximum two-year period.

The grant supports translational, goal-oriented research and is part of the Wallenberg Launch Pad (WALP) initiative, designed to accelerate innovations that can make a real impact on society.

Eligible to apply are those who have or have had grants from the Wallenberg Foundations and employed at a Swedish university.
