WISE Invited Professor Lectures: Insights from Professors Stefano Cucurachi and Margaret Murnane

What will the materials and scientific instruments of the future look like and how can we ensure they contribute to a more sustainable world?

Join us for an inspiring WISE Invited Professor Lecture featuring two internationally renowned researchers who are exploring the frontiers of sustainable materials and advanced scientific technologies.

Stefano Cucurachi, Leiden University and WISE Invited Professor at Linköping University, will present:

“Assessing the sustainability of materials that don’t exist yet”

Cucurachi’s lecture will explore how sustainability can be assessed already at the earliest stages of materials development, helping researchers anticipate the environmental implications of materials that have yet to be created.

Margaret Murnane, University of Colorado Boulder and WISE Invited Professor at Uppsala University, will present:

“Building the Microscopes of Tomorrow”

Murnane will share perspectives on developing next-generation microscopy and the advanced tools needed to investigate materials and phenomena at unprecedented scales.

Together, the lectures offer an opportunity to discover new perspectives on the future of sustainable technologies and advanced materials.
