That’s a wrap on Welcome Meeting 2026 – what an amazing event! The Welcome Meeting was a great success, bringing together around 90 participants for an inspiring and engaging day.

The WISE community gathers at WISE Dialogue 2024!
The successful event took part at Clarion Hotel Post 14-15 March in Gothenburg and had an encouraging attendance from academia and industry with over 200 participants.
-This event is amazing. It fosters connection between a diverse group of people and offers unique opportunities to learn and discuss with experts in material science and sustainability, says Trupthi Chonamada, postdoc researcher at Uppsala University.
Over the course of the two-day event, participants got to enjoy fantastic presentations from the materials research community, social sciences, industry, and other organizations, as well as from the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software (WASP) Program. More than 100 research projects were presented at the WISE poster session. Some of the projects presented related to materials for future energy applications, bio-based materials for the circular economy, and material technologies for the collection and storage of CO2.
