The event created a dynamic space for connection, knowledge-sharing, and forward-looking discussions in materials science for sustainability.

Over two engaging days, attendees explored cutting-edge research and inspiring talks from leading experts across a range of industries and research fields. Participants dove into keynotes, panels, posters, and themed sessions, seeing firsthand how advances in materials science for sustainability are driving tangible solutions for industry and communities

Highlights included presentations on recycling, circular plastics, replacement of critical raw materials, and the infrastructures and partnerships that make innovation possible.

Participants praised the event for its strong networking opportunities and valuable exchange between academia and industry. Their feedback and ideas will help shape the next edition, WISE Dialogue 2027.

-WISE Dialogue is an amazing platform for fruitful discussions with inspiring presentations. Our WASP-WISE NEST project started as a discussion at poster session at WISE Dialogue 2024, and in 2026 the first PhD student of the project presented first poster, so I always looking forward for those meetings, said Maryna Pankratova, Uppsala University and WISE-affiliated researcher.

-Participating in the WISE Dialogue 2026 was a valuable experience, both for connecting to Materials Scientists and for reflecting on how AI can connect with sustainability, which in my role as representative of Mimer AI Factory is really important, said Dr. Ruiwen Xie, application expert Mimer AI Factory.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making WISE Dialogue 2026 a great success, we look forward to seeing you again next time!
