We are happy to introduce Professor Tomas Kåberger, one of our great speakers at WISE Welcome Meeting, August 28-30.
Tomas is a Professor of Industrial Energy Policy at Chalmers University of Technology.
– My main task since a few years is to coordinate energy research within Chalmers and manage our long-term cooperation with some companies in the energy sector. To do this, I follow international trends in the energy industry and together with researchers and industry identify where research may open or accelerate new opportunities.
What is your talk about at Welcome Meeting?
– Some of the industrial and political trends as a guide to where research results will be useful for global progress.
Could you give a word of encouragement to the new WISE PhD students and postdocs?
– Enjoy this period in history when you may contribute disruptive change in global energy supply removing some of the worst threats to coming generations.
