“The WISE initiative is presently the most important initiative in materials science in Sweden. It is both exciting and imperative that MAX IV supports the programme by actively engaging in its activities. The WISE Dialogue is a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration”, says Olof Karis, Director of MAX IV.

At MAX IV, researchers have access to 16 beamlines offering state-of-the-art techniques in X-ray spectroscopy, scattering and diffraction, and imaging. These tools help address complex scientific challenges, particularly in materials science.
— The WISE initiative is presently the most important initiative in materials science in Sweden. It is both exciting and imperative that MAX IV supports the programme by actively engaging in its activities. The WISE Dialogue is a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration, says Olof Karis, Director of MAX IV.
Speaking on the first day of the event, Karis will provide an update on ongoing developments at MAX IV, with a particular focus on the TomoWISE project. TomoWISE is a new full-field tomography beamline. The selection of the new WISE beamline follows a three-year cooperation aimed at enabling new materials science for sustainability by the MAX IV organisation and WISE.
— In our presentation, we will also share ideas for dialogue on how we can strengthen the interaction between WISE and MAX IV, adds Karis.
The WISE Dialogue 2026 brings together researchers, industry leaders, innovators and decision-makers working to accelerate the transition to sustainable materials.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the conversation!
