New Call: Joint WACQT–WISE Projects on Quantum Technology and Sustainable Materials

The Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT) and the Wallenberg Initiative Materials Science for Sustainability (WISE) are launching a new call to spark collaboration at the cutting edge of research.

The call invites proposals that bring together researchers from both programs to explore either quantum technology for materials science or materials science for quantum technology—always with a clear focus on sustainability. Each project must be based on a joint research plan led by two Principal Investigators, one from WACQT and one from WISE.

WACQT, coordinated from Chalmers, is an initiative aiming to position Sweden at the global forefront of quantum technology, with a flagship effort to build a high-end quantum computer.
WISE, Sweden’s largest-ever investment in materials science, focuses on next-generation ecofriendly materials and processes to advance sustainable technologies.

The call is open to academic researchers at WACQT’s and WISE’s partner universities and affiliated groups of excellence. Full eligibility criteria are outlined under Who can apply on our call page(link).
