We are happy to introduce Carl Folke, one of our great speakers, to present at WISE Dialogue, March 22-23.
Carl Folke has been related to the Beijer Institute of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences since 1991, and the Director since 2007, the same year as Beijer Institute founded the Stockholm Resilience Centre at Stockholm University.
In his talk at WISE Dialogue, he will talk about the new Anthropocene epoch – the age of humankind – and the challenges and opportunities it presents for human wellbeing, prosperity, and the future of civilization.
Can you give a word of encouragement to the new WISE PhD students and postdocs?

Originally from Germany, Associate Professor Ute Cappel has spent most of her academic career between the United Kingdom and Sweden. Now, she is back in Sweden and has recently started a new position as WISE Fellow at Uppsala University. Scheduled to present her research at the upcoming WISE Dialogue on March 14-15, Dr. Cappel brings a wealth of expertise on solar cells to the Dialogue.
