Shared equipment and resources
WISE Near Ambient Pressure XPS is a national platform for operando ambient, near ambient and extended pressure photoelectron spectroscopy. The platform is a joint activity between Linköping University, Chalmers University of Technology, Stockholm University and Uppsala University, each with a distinct focus area. Linköping specializes on radiation-sensitive soft materials and offers both XPS and UPS measurement modes. Chalmers focuses on electrochemical and catalytical processes. Stockholm  specializes in synchrotron-based time-resolved ambient pressure photoelectron spectroscopy. Uppsala uniquely integrates three complementary techniques: ToF-SIMS, EP-HAXPES and XRD, with the existing Tandem accelerator infrastructure at the Ångström Laboratory, Uppsala University to provide high-resolution elemental mapping, chemical-state analysis and structural characterization in one coordinated platform.

Coordination
WISE Near Ambient Pressure XPS is led by a steering group consisting of the scientific directors at the four nodes. The work at the nodes is managed by the technical directors at the respective nodes.

Access and guidance for users within the coordinated RTP
New users can find a suitable resource through the common website, which contains information on equipment available, its location and local contact person.  At each node, there is a technical director, who is responsible for communication, granting access for projects. There is also a research engineer, who, depending on the nature of the project, either executes the work, and/or gives training and access to new users. The research engineer is also responsible for maintenance of the equipment.
