Bibliography:
Professor Kamat has for four decades worked to build bridges between physical chemistry
and material science to develop advanced nanomaterials that promise cleaner and more
efficient light energy conversion. He has published more than 500 peer reviewed scientific
papers that have been well recognized by the scientific community (85000 citations, h-index
148 –Source Web of Science). Briefly, his current research topics are
Solar Energy Conversion. Perovskite and Quantum dot photovoltaics. Design of inorganicorganic
nanoassemblies for light energy conversion.
Nanotechnology/Materials Chemistry. Metal and semiconductor nanostructures, Carbon
Nanotubes and graphene based systems (synthesis, characterization, and surface
functionalization; optical properties, photoelectrochemistry; and sensor applications).
Chemical Processes in Heterogeneous Media.Surface photochemical processes, Molecular
clusters, Ultrafast radiation and photochemical events at mesoscale, Mechanism and kinetics
of photoeffects at semiconductor/electrolyte interface.
Solar fuels: Semiconductor metal composites for photocatalytic hydrogen production,
electrochemical and photoelectrochemical reduction of CO2.

Explore invited professors under the WISE program
In this page, you will meet the WISE Invited Professors. The WISE invited professor (WIP) program is part of the recruitment and outreach activities of WISE and targets to establish research connections internationally. The purpose can be both to strengthen excellent research environments and to introduce new contacts and research areas into the Swedish research landscape. Through the WIP program, WISE will collaborate with internationally competitive research environments, enabling crucial networking. This page will be continuously updated.
