Research question

  1. How can keep structure of the moisture and air-sensitive materials intact during the cryo-EM sample preparation and data collection?
  2. How can we obtain sub-Ångström resolution 3D ED data to resolve the detailed atomic structure including the organic cations and mixed ions in halide perovskites?
  3. How can Cryo-3DED be used for studying perovskite thin-films?

Sustainability aspects

The proposed project is related to development of new methods that are expected to enable novel technical solutions for materials research. Although the focus is on halide perovskite materials, the methods can be utilized by a wide range of materials research, including batteries. The new technological developments will indirectly contribute to many Sustainability development Goals, where materials developments are essential.
