WISE Study trip
December 5, 2023 - December 6, 2023
When: 5-6 Dec, 2023
Who: WISE PhD students and WISE postdocs
Where: Halmstad and Lund, Sweden
It is a two-day trip to Halmstad and Lund, in the south of Sweden.
We will visit Stena Recycling in Halmstad on Dec 5, and Lund University including MAX IV on Dec 6.
The maximum number of participants is 38.
The places will be distributed on a first come first serve basis, with a view to distribute half of the places to PhD students, and the other half to postdocs.
Travel and accommodation:
You are responsible for booking hotels and traveling to Halmstad and from Lund by yourself (see recommended hotels in the list below). WISE will arrange bus transport between the various study visits.
(Please note that the study trip starts in Halmstad on 5 December and ends in Lund on 6 December)

08:30 – Bus departs from the Best Western Plus Grand Hotel for all participants

15:15 – Bus departs from Stena Recycling to Lund
16:45 – Estimated arrival in Lund and check-in.
All participants are dropped off at Kyrkogatan 6, Lund (outside the cathedral)
19:00 – Dinner at restaurang Stäket & Valvino, Stora Södergatan 6

08:30 – The bus departs Kyrkogatan 6, Lund (outside the cathedral)
09:00 – Study visit at Max IV
11:30 – Lunch
12:30 – Bus departs from Max IV to Lund University
13:00 – Study visit at Lund University
16:00 – Bus departs from Lund University
16:30 – Arrival and drop of at Lund trainstation
