Porous thermoresponsive poly(ionic liquid) / graphene oxide composites for harvesting water from air (ProWater)
Academic project
PhD
Open
Research question
This project aims to produce and study the first group of metal-free porous polymer/graphene oxide (GO) composite sorbents that enable both direct water harvesting from air and solar-powered quick water release. It represents a new technique for renewable energy-based carbon-neutral water-production.
Sustainability aspects
The ProWater project targets at the United Nations sustainable development goal (SDG) 6 as: Ensure access to water and sanitation for all.
