DESCRIPTION:Welcome to WISE Networking Day 2025\nWhen: January 28\, 2025\, one full day\nTime: 10.00 – ending with dinner at 18.00\nRegistration\, coffee/tea and sandwich: From 09:30\nWhere: Värmekyrkan\, Norrköping \nThe registration is now closed \n\nWith the intention to make this an annual event we now introduce the meeting place for Swedish industry\, society and the WISE community. \nJoin us to explore successful collaboration between industry\, academia and societal actors. WISE Networking Day is the meeting place to boost future collaboration\, careers and business\, targeting materials science and technology for sustainability. Focus for this event is on creating contacts between WISE researchers\, PhDs and postdocs and Swedish industry for future collaboration and career opportunities. \nThis conference will explore emerging trends and needs regarding sustainable materials in Sweden. Attendees will also gain practical insights into fostering synergistic interactions and collaborations between academia and industry. The event is open to WISE PhD students and Postdocs and PI’s and Swedish industry and society. \nProgram\n\n10:00 Introduction: Magnus Berggren\, WISE Program Director and Olle Eriksson\, WISE Program co-director\n10:10 Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (KAW) ecosystem of research programs: Sara Mazur\, Executive Director KAW\nBlock 1: Future needs for materials science and academic collaborations from a large business perspective. Listen to presentations from e.g. Sandvik\, IKEA\, Alfa Laval\, Scania\, Husqvarna\, Tetra Pak\, Volvo Cars and Hitachi Energy\nBlock 2: Entrepreneurship\, materials science and academic collaborations in small business perspectives. Presentations from Graphmatec\, Retein and more to be confirmed\nBlock 3: Collaboration opportunities within WIRA (WISE industrial arena) and the EU landscape for materials science\nPoster exhibition (WISE postdocs and PhDs about to ending their WISE projects) and company exhibition in all breaks\n18:00 Dinner\n\nRegistration to WISE Networking Day\nIn the registration form for industry/society\, you can select how you wish to participate – either as an exhibitor with a booth or as an attendee only. We encourage you to register early\, especially if you’re interested in securing a booth\, as the number of places is limited. Participating industry are invited to present their organization with a roll-up or demo table. A standing networking lunch will follow\, along with an afternoon coffee break. The conference will conclude with a two-course dinner at the Bistro in Louis De Geer. If you wish to attend the dinner\, please indicate this during your conference registration. Also\, kindly inform us if you have any allergies or require special dietary accommodations. \nThe dinner will be served with non-alcoholic beverages.
